German Speaker (Native/C1) – Assistance Coordinator (German Assistance Department)

  • Start Date: 10 August 2026
  • Working Hours: Shift-based role (rotational shifts applicable)

German Speaker (B2 or higher) – Claims Coordinator (German Claims Department)

  • Start Date: 15 August 2026
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

German Speaker (Native/C1) – Assistance Coordinator (German Assistance Department)

About the Assistance Coordinator role: Being a member of our team, you are responsible for assisting and helping travelers worldwide in difficult situations. Main tasks are contact with our clients, the patients, hospitals, ambulance companies, tour operators and others – the main aim of balancing this communication flow is to arrange the medical or travel need for the insured policyholder. We are searching for reliable, open-minded and flexible team players with the ability to analyze a situation and find a solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate over the phone and via email with policyholders, a worldwide network of medical providers and our colleagues around the world
  • Co-ordinate logistic arrangements locally and internationally to assist policyholders in medical or difficult travel situations
  • Work closely with medical professionals internally and externally

Requirements:

Essential

  • Full proficiency in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts which may include weekends, evenings/night shift

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in medical assistance, travel assistance, insurance, claims administration, customer service, emergency services, healthcare administration, or tourism

German Speaker (B2 or higher) – Claims Coordinator (BPO: German Claims Department)

About the German-speaking Claims Coordinator role: Euro-Center Cape Town is seeking a German-speaking Claims Coordinator to join our German Claims Department. As a Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for collecting accurate information and supporting documentation to process insurance claims. You will assess claims submitted by policyholders to determine whether they meet the applicable policy terms and conditions, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high levels of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately assess and process insurance claims in line with policy wording, underwriter guidelines, and insurer requirements.
  • Communicate claim decisions clearly, including requesting additional documentation and providing detailed explanations for declined claims.
  • Identify and escalate potential fraud, high-cost claims, and other complex cases.
  • Maintain accurate records, statistical data, and claims documentation.
  • Meet KPIs, service levels, and agreed turnaround times while ensuring high-quality customer service.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of policy wording and claims procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and contribute to process improvements.
  • Ensure all communications are professional and delivered to a high standard.
  • Comply with data protection, information security, and corporate policies, including reporting any data breaches immediately.
  • Communicate with policyholders by telephone when required to support the claims process.

Requirements:

Essential

  • German speaker with professional fluency – level B2 or higher
  • Pro-active and perform well under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible and open-minded to ongoing changes and training
  • Matric or higher
  • Strong computer user skills in Microsoft Office tools

Advantageous:

  • Previous work experience in Medical Assistance, Insurances, Claims Handling or Tourism
  • Previous work experience utilising German language skills (written and/orverbal)
